CLINIC

Desab, Haiti

The HASWEP community was severely lacking in sustainable, accessible health care.  While medical teams were brought in several times a year, we, as well as the community leaders, felt strongly that a clinic that is open several days a week is what the people needed.  Providing the people with a regular, consistent and quality health care option is our objective.

 Who We Are...

Stone By Stone is a 501(c)3 non-profit, faith-based organization seeking to bring quality, reliable and consistent health care to a nine-village cooperative located in the Cabaret Region of Haiti.  In October 2011, a team of eight people, from different backgrounds and different areas of the US, traveled together to run a free medical clinic for the villages.  It soon became apparent that this team was put together for a reason.  From first-time Haiti travelers to seasoned veterans, we realized that we shared a passion for the people, the country and the clinic.  Thus began many, many hours spent dreaming and planning how to turn this passion into a real, viable resource.

With the support and partnership of the Vermont Haiti Project we were able to move forward and begin to establish ourselves as a working organization.  With founding members having 20-plus years of experience in the villages, we are excited by what the future holds.  We look forward to working side by side with our Haitian brothers and sisters.

Thank you for your concern for Haiti and Haiti's people. Thank you for your prayers and support for our mission. Please visit our How You Can Help page to learn more about supporting this work.
